Mrs. Peggy Carpenter Sellers, age 59, entered into rest on Thursday, June 18, 2020. A Funeral Service will be held at 4:30 PM Tuesday, June 23, 2020, at Westside Baptist Church by Pastor Steve West with burial to follow in the Chatham Hill Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Monday, June 22, from 5:00 – 7:00 PM at Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home.
Mrs. Sellers was born June 28, 1960, in Houston, TX, a daughter of the late Melton and Elva Griggs Carpenter. She was a member of Westside Baptist Church in Cheraw, SC. Peggy retired from Stanton Quilting and began working with the Cheraw Police Department as a school crossing guard. She enjoyed walking and watching birds and butterflies. Peggy had a deep love for her family and friends and prayed daily for them to be right with the Lord. She loved her Lord and her church, and she enjoyed driving the church van. She would always go the extra mile to help anyone and loved to spend time with her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Sellers was preceded in death by her sisters, Vicki Carpenter and Sandy Linton, and a brother, Jimmy Carpenter.
Survivors include her husband of 30 years, James T. Sellers, of the home; son, Reese (Julie Kimrey) Thomas of Chesterfield, SC; daughter, Ashley M. (Brandon) Jacobs of Cheraw, SC; step-son, Benjamin L. (Hannah) Sellers of Cheraw, SC; grandchildren, Freya and Ava, step-grandchildren, Zaddy, and Roya; sisters, Deborah Adams of Chesterfield, SC, and Mary Herndon of Bennettsville, SC; brothers, Rudolph Jackson of Wallace, SC, and Robert Jackson of Bennettsville, SC; mother-in-law, Addie Mae Sellers; and sisters of the heart, Linda Driggers and Tammy Eason.
