Peggy Goodale Hicks

Chesterfield, SC

Mrs. Peggy Lee Goodale Hicks, age 65, entered into rest on Wednesday, June 5, 2024 at her home. A Celebration of Life Service will be 2:00 PM Saturday, June 8, 2024 from the Chapel of Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home by Pastor Mark Phillips. The family will greet friends immediately following the service at the funeral home.

          Mrs. Hicks was born February 6, 1959 in Rapid City, SD a daughter of Lola Baumberger Goodale and the late Phillip Thomas Goodale. Peggy was a graduate of Chesterfield High School and furthered her education by earning an associate's degree from the Community College of Rhode Island. She was a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church. 
 
        A dedicated homemaker, Peggy's deepest joy stemmed from her unwavering love for her family. She took great pride in her role as mother and grandmother, cherishing every moment spent with her loved ones. She also had a passion for shopping and possessed a keen eye for finding the best deals.

She is survived by her loving husband of 37 years, Tim Hicks of the home; children, Shane (Brittany) Hicks of Darlington, SC, and Courtney (David) Hair of Chesterfield, SC; grandchildren, Aeva Hine, Mark Hair, and Asher Hine; mother, Lola B. Goodale of Chesterfield, SC; brother, Tommy (Shellie) Goodale of St. Augustine, FL, Beth Goodale Noble (Derrick Crosby) of Chesterfield, SC, and Cindy (Howard) Malpass of West Chester, PA; in addition to numerous nieces and nephews.

Also surviving are sisters of the heart, Darice Gomez, and Paula Campbell; daughter of the heart, April Shaw; granddaughter of the heart, Madison Harpe; sons of the heart, David Campbell, Jr., Brian Campbell, and Joseph Campbell.

In lieu of flowers and in remembrance of Peggy’s love for children, the family requests that any donations be made in her memory to the Chesterfield Soup Kitchen, c/o Mrs. Connie Spencer, 305 W.
