Paul Tipton

Cheraw, SC Mr. Paul Tipton, age 82, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 5, 2025 at McLeod Health - Cheraw with his family by his side.

Funeral services will be 3:00 PM Tuesday, July 8, 2025 from the Chapel of Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home officiated by Brent Taylor. The committal service will follow at Chatham Hill Memorial Gardens officiated by Pastor Eddie Brock. The family will greet friends from 2:00 - 3:00 PM Tuesday, prior to the service at the funeral home.

Mr. Tipton was born April 8, 1943, in Gate City, VA a son of the late Wrightly and Dorie Sanders Tipton. He was a retired employee of Jerry B. Leach Outdoor Equipment and was a faithful member of Windsor Park Freewill Baptist Church, where he was known for his warm greetings and welcoming spirit.

An avid outdoorsman, Paul enjoyed squirrel hunting, tending to his garden, taking peaceful walks, and tinkering in his shop.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Tipton was also preceded in death by his wife, Mary Anne Tipton; and siblings, Maggie, Hazel, Faye, Sue, Dorothy, Ray, Dee, Howard, Thelma, and Oakie.

Survivors include his daughter, Tonie T. (Ricky) Brock of Cheraw, SC; grandson, Cameron Brock of Davenport, FL; brother, Joe (Geneva) Tipton of Gate City, VA; in addition to numerous nieces and nephews.
