Mrs. Patsy M. Watson, age 85, entered into rest on Thursday, August 7, 2025 at her home. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, August 17, 2025 at Zion United Methodist Church Cemetery officiated by Brent Taylor. The family will greet friends immediately following the service at the cemetery.
Mrs. Watson was born April 17, 1940 in Angelus, SC a daughter of the late James Perry Mangum and Maymie Horton Mangum. She was raised alongside seven brothers and four sisters. She was a lifelong resident of Chesterfield County, SC. Patsy was a graduate of Jefferson High School and was a retired supervisor with the WIC Program of Chesterfield County. Mrs. Watson was a member of Zion United Methodist Church and participated in the adult choir and United Methodist Women.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Watson was also preceded in death by her siblings, James Mangum, Charles Mangum, Johnny P. Mangum, Randy Mangum, Mike Mangum, Sue Hughes; and her beloved late husband, Woodrow Wilson Watson, Jr.
Survivors include her two sons, Christopher Shea (Amy) Watson of Indian Trail, NC, and Garren Dean (Kelly) Watson of Monroe, NC; grandchildren, Logan Watson of Monroe, NC, Jeremy Watson of Raleigh, NC, Justin Watson of Monroe, NC, Grayson Watson of Monroe, NC, and Connor Watson of Lancaster, SC; great grandchildren, John Logan Watson and Pate Stanley Watson; step-grandchild, Amanda Helms; siblings, Betty Johnson of Pageland, SC, Nancy Huntley of Mint Hill, NC, Ralph (Pat) Mangum of Atlanta, GA, and Rick Mangum of Pageland, SC; in addition to numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Zion United Methodist Church, 647 Zion Church Road, Pageland, SC 29728.
