Jefferson, SC - Mr. Nicholas “Nick” Andreas Addington, age 31, passed away on Monday, December 29, 2025, at Atrium Health – Union. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Sunday, January 11, 2026, at 4:00 PM at the White Plains Golf Club Venue, where friends and family will gather to share memories and honor his life. The family will greet friends following the service and other times at their home.
Nick was born on December 27, 1994, in Knoxville, TN. He was the son of Carol Ann Rollings Carroll and the late Michael Scott Addington. A proud graduate of Central High School in 2013, Nick excelled as the first trumpet in the Central High Marching Band. He furthered his education at Lander University, studying computer programming, and began his career in the IT department at the university. His professional career included positions at various companies, including Inside Sales for 3F Manufacturing, Conbraco Industries, Cross Country Adjusting in Pageland, White Plains Golf Course, Advanced Auto Parts in Pageland, and McColl Thomas Contractors for Sandhill Telephone as an engineer. Most recently, he was pursuing his goal of becoming a Behavioral Health Technician to work with special needs children.
Nick was fondly known for his kindness and his ability to bring joy to others with his thoughtful nature and warm hugs. Passionate about magic, he enjoyed performing card tricks and creating new friendships surrounding them. A connoisseur of learning, Nick had an enduring interest in theology and religion. He possessed a remarkable talent for playing various musical instruments, especially his electric guitar. He could strike up a conversation in Spanish with a chicken and carry on conversation for hours.
An avid gamer, he enjoyed participating in communities surrounding games like World of Warcraft and was known for his zest for life, which included attending Rave parties and forming meaningful connections with new friends. Nick was truly one of a kind and genuinely loved those who loved him.
In addition to his father, Nick was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Carroll “Catfish” Rollings, and his cherished dog, “Chubbs.”
Nick is survived by his mother, Carol Ann (Tony) Carroll of Jefferson, SC; brothers Joel (Mandy) Carroll, Justin (Amanda) Carroll, Jared (Brittany) Carroll, and James (Tyler) Carroll, all of Jefferson, SC; sister Katie (Josh) Whiffen of Holly Springs, NC; and sister Kally Addington of Jefferson, SC. He is also survived by his maternal grandmother, Patricia Rollings of Jefferson, SC; paternal grandparents Darryl (Mary) Addington of Charlotte, NC, and Linda (Paul) Addington of Simpsonville, SC; aunts and uncles Eddie (Becky) Rollings of Liberty Hill, SC, and Natalie (Dave) Barron of Virginia; nieces and nephews Gracyn, Chaz, Ashton, Juliette, Paisley, Christopher, Granger, Eliza, Wade, Houston, Briar, and Kallyn; cousins Mollie, Cooper, and Richard; along with his beloved cat, “Teddy.”
