Mildred Clanton Cassidy

Chesterfield, SC 

 Mrs. Mildred Clanton Cassidy, age 83, entered into rest on Thursday, July 4, 2024 at her home surrounded by her loving family. A private graveside service will be held at a later date. The family is receiving friends at the homes of Billy & Susan Cassidy and Sharon & Wes Rivenbark. 

 Mrs. Cassidy was born August 20, 1940 in Chesterfield, SC a daughter of the late Claude and Eva Gooden Clanton. She was a retired seamstress and devoted homemaker. Mildred was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church. Her hobbies included gardening, sewing, and preparing meals for her family. 

 In addition to her parents, Mrs. Cassidy was also preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Bill Cassidy; and sisters, Ruth Parks and Evelyn Clanton.

 Survivors include her 2 sons, Billy H. (Susan) Cassidy and Timothy W. Cassidy both of Chesterfield, SC; daughter, Sharon (Wes) Cassidy-Rivenbark of Chesterfield, SC; grandchildren, Mandy Curtis, Jennifer (Brandon) Grainger, Will Curtis, Sarah (Trent) Knight, and Molly (Seth) Truesdale; great grandchildren, Scarlett Grainger, Everett Grainger, Brewer Knight, Gray Knight, Brooks Knight, Emsley Reid Truesdale, and Ellison Truesdale.

 Memorials may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
