INTERMENT: will follow in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery, McFarlan, NC

VISITATION: will be 6:00 - 8:00 PM, Thursday, March 5, 2009 at Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home

HISTORY: Mr. Nelson was born November 28, 1932 in Pilot Mountain, NC a son of the late Gene Monroe and Ruby Myrtice East Nelson. He was a retired farmer and fruit stand owner. Mr. Nelson was a member of Westfield Creek Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, Melvin was also preceded in death by a sister, Nellie Tice.
