Melinda Rivers Treadaway

Chesterfield, SC

          Mrs. Melinda Rivers Treadaway, age 66, entered into rest on Saturday, June 1, 2024. In accordance with Mrs. Treadaway’s wishes, there are no formal services planned at this time.

          Mrs. Treadaway was born in Chesterfield, SC the daughter of the late John Weldon Rivers, Jr. and Hazel Eudy Rhode. Melinda was a former employee of Chesterfield Manufacturing and she went on to retire from the Lanesboro Correctional Institution. Mrs. Treadaway liked taking car rides to see the sights. Melinda also enjoyed being in nature where she would rock on her porch and feed the birds. Mrs. Treadaway loved spending time with, and caring for her friends and family. Melinda’s favorite activity was spending time with her beloved granddaughter who was her pride and joy.

          In addition to her parents, Mrs. Treadaway was also preceded in death by her brother, Weldon Rivers; and loving step-father, Russell Charles Rhode.

          Survivors include her husband, Clay Treadaway of the home; children, Brooke Treadaway (Johnny) Alford of Hartsville, SC, Colton Treadaway of Chesterfield, SC; granddaughter, Alayna Alford of Hartsville, SC; sister, Myra Rivers of Chesterfield, SC; nephew, Casey (Kristin) Rivers of Chesterfield, SC; great-niece and great-nephews, Charlie Rivers, Matthew Rivers, Gracelyn Rivers, and Wyatt Rivers.
