DECEASED: Mrs. Melinda Kay McLain, age 53, died Monday, September 21, 2015 at her home following a long and courageous battle against cancer and a major stroke.

HISTORY: Mrs. McLain was born June 23, 1962 in Chesterfield, SC a daughter of Mary Rivers McLain and the late Ervin Byrd McLain. She was a graduate of Chesterfield High School and an honor graduate of Stanley Community College in Albemarle, NC. Melinda enjoyed painting and crafts. She was very creative and artistic.
