History: Mrs. Thompson was born January 16, 1931 in Chesterfield, SC, a daughter of the late Nick Paulie and Leo Davidson Campbell. She was a graduate of Chesterfield High School, and retired as Administrator of Wesley Nursing Center in Charlotte, NC. Mavis and her husband Bob, were also former owners of Thompson Cleaners. She was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, Mavis was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert "Bob" McKay Thompson and by a sister, Pat C. Teal.

5 Sisters: Beatrice Burch of Cheraw, SC; Janice Rivers of Chesterfield, SC; Anita Quick of Cheraw, SC; Sue Holloman of Hartsville, SC; and Linda Prohaska of West Chester, OH. Also Nieces and Nephews
