Miss Mary Faye “Paye” Rhynes, age 88, entered into rest on Tuesday, February 16, 2021. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Sunday, March 21, 2021 at 5 O'Clock in the fellowship hall of Ebenezer United Methodist Church by Rev. Mike Phares. The family requests those attending wear masks and observe Covid-19 precautions.
Miss Rhynes was born February 12, 1933 in Anson County, NC a daughter of the late Robert Mitchell and Frances Davis Rhynes. She was a retired employee of Chesterfield Webbing and a former employee of Chesterfield Manufacturing. Miss Rhynes was of the Baptist faith. She enjoyed fishing, sewing, working in her flowers, and spoiling her “fur-babies.”
In addition to her parents, Mary Faye was also preceded in death by brothers, Clyde Rhynes, and Johnny Rhynes; sister, Gertrude Watson; twin-sister, Margie Goodwin; sisters-in-law, Carolyn Rhynes, and Doris Rhynes; brother-in-law, Curtis Goodwin; nephews, Jerry Hurst, Jerry Watson, and John Gary Rhynes, Donald Tyner; and niece, Rita Melton.
Survivors include her nieces and nephews, Richard (Elaine) Rhyne of Chesterfield, SC, Mickey (Peggy) Hurst of Ruby, SC; Patsy Mills, Betty Wilkerson, Linda Hurst, and Mary Rhynes Boan all of Chesterfield, SC, Susan Tyner of Morven, NC, Terry Rhynes of Wallace, SC, Kathy Watson of Kannapolis, NC, Robert Watson, Tommy Watson, Timmy Goodwin, and Curtis Goodwin, Jr.; and numerous great nieces and great nephews.
The family would like to express their appreciation to the staff of Cheraw Healthcare for the extraordinary love and care provided to Miss Rhynes and her family.
Memorials may be made to a humane society of one’s choice.
