FUNERAL SERVICE: 3:00 PM, Wednesday, January 30, 2008 at White Oak Presbyterian Church

INTERMENT: will follow in the church cemetery

VISITATION: immediately following the service in the church fellowship hall

HISTORY: Mrs. Purvis was born in Chesterfield County a daughter of the late Orland Harris and Beulah Waddell Douglas. She was a retired employee of Sonoco Industries, Hartsville, SC with 33 years of service. Mrs. Purvis was a lifelong faithful member of White Oak Presbyterian Church. Mary was preceded in death by her husband of 17 years, Baxter Purvis; brother, Lawton P. Douglas; and by two sisters, Lurline D. Jacobs, and Azalee D. Clanton.


SURVIVORS:
3 Sisters: Peg Griggs, and Garrett D. Rivers both of Chesterfield, SC and Faye D. Chewning of Charlotte, NC

Also a host of nieces, nephews, and friends

2 Stepchildren: James Purvis and Joyce P. Wilkerson
