HISTORY: Mrs. Kennington was born December 28, 1929 in Augusta, GA, a daughter of the late Lester Ralph and Elsie Vance Lyles Martin. She was a homemaker and a Loving Wife, Mother, and Grandmother. Mary Elizabeth was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her 3 brothers, Lester Ralph Martin, Jr., Harrison Martin, and Francis German.

Husband of 61 years: Heyward Marvin Kennington of the home.
1 Son: Marshall (Joyce) Kennington of Aiken, SC
2 Daughters: Cynthia Kennington Mace of Marion, NC and Barbara Kennington (Mike) Jubrey of Ridgecrest, CA.
1 Sister: Julia Martin Davis of Bishopville, SC
8 Grandchildren: Jody Mace, Angela Mace, Candy Kennington, C. J. Kennington, Chase Kennington, Michael Jubrey II, Michel Jubrey Lara, and Jeremy Jubrey
