Hartsville, SC - Mrs. Janie Crowley Parks, age 93, peacefully entered into rest on January 3, 2026, at Mcleod Health-Cheraw. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 6, 2026, at 12:00 PM from the Chapel of Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home with Pastor Cody Howle and Bro. Grady Baskins officiating. Burial will follow at Palmetto Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the funeral home.
Born on October 25, 1932, in Jefferson, SC, Mrs. Parks was the daughter of the late J. Tom and Rachel Deese Davis. A graduate of Ruby High School, she was also a former employee of Chesterfield Manufacturing. A faithful Christian lady, Janie gave her heart to the Lord and was born again as a young girl and faithfully served him for the remainder of her life. She was a beloved member of Society Hill Church of God. One of the many ways she ministered to others was through visiting area nursing homes each week and often carrying home-cooked meals to the residents.
Janie cherished her family and was proud to gift each grandchild a hand-stitched crocheted blanket. She was affectionately known as “Grandma” and “Nanny” to her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Parks was preceded in death by her husbands, Duland Leverne Crowley and Oscar Lee Parks; her children, Farris Omega Crowley, Vicky Crowley Hall, Jimmie Crowley, and Danny Ray Crowley, Sr.; and her siblings: James Davis, Sandy Davis, Christine Davis Wright, T.H. Davis, E.B. Davis, Alice Davis Crowley, Author Davis, and Annie Davis Catledge.
Mrs. Parks is survived by her children, Dalphine Crowley (Butch) Michael of Hartsville, SC, and Aaron (Bobbie Gail) Crowley of Patrick, SC; her son-in-law, Tom Hall of Lenoir, NC; grandchildren Nikki (Eddie) O’Neal, Kristi (Andy) Jeffords, Jason (Madge) Hall, Elesha (Kyle) Frantz, Danny (Paige) Crowley, Jr., Kayla Beasley, Tori Crowley, and Chandler Crowley; great-grandchildren Becca (Bishop Joseph) Norris, Aaron (Tori) O’Neal, Amber (Pastor Cody) Howle, Joel Jeffords, Jack Hall, Jameson Hall, Kayden Rhames, Caulder Frantz, Maclain Frantz, and Tinley Crowley; great-great-grandchildren Eden Norris, Adrianna Norris, Maverick O’Neal, Brooklyn Howle, and Zeke Howle; as well as generations of nieces and nephews and her lifelong friend, Shelby Barr.
