Mrs. Mary Jane Burgess, age 65, entered into rest on Saturday, December 24, 2016. A Celebration of Life Service will be 11:00 AM Friday, December 30, 2016 from the chapel of Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home by Brent Taylor. The family will greet friends immediately following the service at the funeral home.

Mrs. Burgess was born October 22, 1951 in Chesterfield County, SC a daughter of the late Leroy and Bessie Cagle Burgess. She was a former employee of Pilgrim’s Pride and a devoted mother and proud grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, Mary Jane was also preceded in death by 1 son, Jimmy Burgess and 1 brother, Jerry Burgess.

Survivors include her 2 children, Lori Burgess and Johnny Burgess; and their father, Johnny Gulledge; 2 brothers, Billy Burgess and Rodger Burgess; 4 grandchildren, Brittany Burgess, Lillian “Lili” Susens, Jonathan Susens, and Olivia Parker.

The family requests that memorials be made to Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home, 318 E. Main Street, Chesterfield, SC 29709 to assist the family with funeral expenses.
