Luna Loree Threatt McManus

Mrs. Luna Loree Threatt McManus, age 98, of the Tradesville community in Lancaster County, passed away peacefully at home on Friday morning, August 28, 2026, in the presence of her family. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, at the Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home Chapel, officiated by Dulan Mills and Brent Taylor.

The committal service is scheduled for 2:30 PM the same day at Crescent Hill Memorial Gardens, 2603 Two Notch Rd, Columbia, SC.

Born on September 28, 1927, in Lancaster County, SC, Mrs. McManus was the daughter of the late Rochell Alexander Threatt and Reona Courtney Threatt. A proud graduate of Buford High School, she began her career in Columbia but soon devoted herself to her family as a loving wife and mother. A long-time member of Oak Hill Baptist Church, she found joy in gardening, canning, and preparing Sunday meals for her family. Her dedication to her home and family was unwavering. She cherished her roles as wife and mother and was quick to let anyone know her husband and only son was the true loves of her life.

Luna was the last surviving member of her immediate family and was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Cecil Lance McManus, in 2011.

She is survived by her son, Wayne T. McManus, Sr. and his wife, Tonya Sue McManus of Lancaster, SC; grandchildren Wayne “Timothy” McManus, Jr., Michael Brian McManus, Karlee Marie Lyons, Patrick Austin Stroud, Taylor Sue Walters, Alia Jordan, Shelby McCorkle, and Christian Alfrey; great-grandchildren Easton, Carson, Madison, and Waylynn; and great-great-grandchildren Grace and Ariel.

The family extends heartfelt gratitude to nurses Kia, Erica, and the entire staff of Heart of Hospice Lancaster for their exemplary care.
