Lula Margaret Cable

Jefferson, SC

     Ms. Lula Margaret Cable, age 86, entered into rest on Wednesday, January 18, 2023. Graveside services will be held 3:00 PM Sunday, January 22, 2023 at Fork Creek United Methodist Church Cemetery by Brent Taylor. The family will receive friends in the Fork Creek United Methodist Church Chapel from 2:00 – 3:00 PM prior to the graveside service on Sunday and other times at the home of Ashley and Billy Wayne Knight, 1791 Antioch Church Rd, Jefferson, SC 29718.

     Ms. Cable was born March 28, 1936 in Jefferson, SC a daughter of the late J.L. and Lora Demby Kirkley. Margaret  enjoyed working with  flowers from growing, gardening, to making beautiful floral arrangements, she truly had a gift. Of all things that brought her enjoyment, she cherished time spent with her beloved family.

     In addition to her parents, Margaret was also preceded in death by her brother, Wylie Kirkley.

     Survivors include her children, Wendell Johnson of Cheraw, SC, Barry Johnson of Cheraw, SC, Cynthia (Larry) Sellers of Chesterfield, SC; sister, Manda Campbell of Columbia, SC; grandchildren, Michael Sellers of Chesterfield, SC, Jennifer Sellers of Chesterfield, SC, Ashley Johnson (Billy Wayne) Knight of Jefferson, SC; great-grandchildren, Ava Knight and Brayden Knight both of Jefferson, SC.

    In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in Ms. Cable’s memory to Crescent Hospice, 1370 Browning Rd., Suite 120, Columbia, SC 29210.
