HISTORY: Mrs. Rivers was born January 23, 1929 in Chesterfield, SC, a daughter of the late Oscar Dennis and Florence Oliver Lisenby. She was a homemaker and a member of Hopewell Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, Lou Doris was also preceded in death by her husband, Gerald M. Rivers, her son, Dennis "Dink" Rivers, a daughter, Judy G. Rivers, her granddaughter, Rachel Taylor Reihl, her brother, Odell Lisenby, her sister Jennie Adams, and by a niece Robbie Adams Butler.
