Mrs. Lois Tyner O’Neal, age 74, entered into rest on Wednesday, May 28, 2025 at her home. A Celebration of Life service will be 1:00 PM Saturday, May 31, 2025 from the Chapel of Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home by Reverend Donna Green with the eulogy being delivered by Mrs. Beth O’Neal. The family will greet friends following the service at the funeral home.
Mrs. O’Neal was born July 7, 1950 in Darlington County, SC a daughter of the late Lonnie and Thelma Anderson Tyner. She was a dedicated homemaker and a member of Hartsville Calvary Church of the Nazarene. Lois enjoyed gardening, canning, and making quilts. Her greatest joy was her family; she was a proud “Me-ma” to her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. O’Neal was also preceded in death by her husband, James Calvin “Big O” O’Neal, Sr.; son, Ronald O’Neal; grandchildren, Angela O’Neal, and Michael Wayne Lee; brothers, Tim Tyner, and Buck Tyner; sister, Mildred Gainey; and grandson-in-law, Mark Dearing, Jr.
Survivors include her children, James O’Neal, Jr., Kenneth (Beth) O’Neal both of Patrick, SC, Lisa (Dewayne) Lee, and Jesse O’Neal both of Wallace, SC; grandchildren, Tiffnay O’Neal, Nickolas O’Neal, Breana O’Neal (Dustin) Helming, Alexis (Michael) Hartsfield, Aubrey O’Neal, Kendra O’Neal, Kenneth “K J” O’Neal, Jr., and Samantha O’Neal; great grandchildren, Lydia, Kenny, Winter, Riley, Braxton, Jasper, Scooter, and soon to be arriving, Byrnleigh; siblings, Bobby Tyner of Patrick, SC, Judy Howle of Patrick, SC, Ronnie Tyner of FL, and Mary Player.
The family would like to express their appreciation to her brother and faithful caregiver, Bobby Tyner and sister, Judy Howle for their love and care shown to Mrs. Lois over the past year.
