FUNERAL SERVICE: 11:00 AM, Saturday, July 23, 2011 at Douglas Mill Baptist Church
INTERMENT: Will follow in the Douglas Mill Cemetery
VISITATION: 10:00 - 11:00 am Saturday, prior to the service at the church
HISTORY: Mr. Burr was born June 5, 1922 in Chesterfield, SC a son of the late Nathan and Maggie Burr. He was a pulpwood cutter and lifelong farmer. Mr. Burr was a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II, a member of the DAV, and the American Legion Post 74. He was a member of Douglas Mill Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, Clinton was preceded in death by his first wife, Frances Deese Burr, and secondly the late Katie Linton Burr; 3 brothers, Robert, J.P., and Leo Burr; and by 1 sister, Isabelle Burr Jordan.
SURVIVORS:
2 Sons: Lloyd F. (Linnett) Burr, and Wilson C. (Janice Therrell) Burr both of Chesterfield, SC
2 Grandchildren: Denise (Robert) Barefoot of Patrick, SC and Ricky Burr of Burlington, NC
2 Great Grandchildren: Hunter Barefoot and Ty Barefoot
1 Brother: Jasper (Sarah) Burr of Lancaster, SC
