Mrs. Lisa Adams Polson, age 62, peacefully passed away at her home on Sunday evening, April 26, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on November 6, 1963, in Chesterfield, South Carolina, to the late Elresso Adams and Evelyn Rivers Adams Campbell.
A 1982 graduate of Chesterfield High School, Mrs. Polson furthered her education at Northeastern Technical College. She was formerly employed by Gerrard Tire and Fred’s of Chesterfield. A life-long member of Elizabeth Baptist Church, Lisa found joy in fishing, antiquing, tending to her flowers and garden, and farming, particularly caring for cows. Most importantly, she cherished her role as a proud and devoted mother to her daughter, Brianna.
Mrs. Polson was preceded in death by her parents, her mother’s late husband J.B. Campbell, her brother Richard “Dick” Adams, her father-in-law, Wilson Barney Polson; and her beloved yorkshire terrier, “Foo Foo.”
She is survived by her husband of nearly 30 years, Tommy Wilson Polson; daughter, Brianna Lee Polson (David Foy) of Ruby, South Carolina; mother-in-law, Linda Polson of Chesterfield, South Carolina; brother-in-law, Tim Polson (Rebecca) of Chesterfield; nephew, Bailey Polson (Victoria) of Lexington, South Carolina; niece, Bella Polson of Chesterfield; cousins Karen Baker (Chris) of Monroe, North Carolina, Jan Bittle (Gene) of Chesterfield, South Carolina, and Jan and Gene’s daughter Ashley Threatt (Kyle) and family; Randy Jordan of Mt. Croghan, South Carolina, and his son Randall Jordan. She also leaves behind close friends and sisters of the heart, Karen Martin (Darrell) of Wadesboro, North Carolina, and Michelle Atkinson of Ruby, South Carolina, along with her cherished beagle, “Moxie,” and cat, “Ellie.”
Funeral services will be held at 4:00 PM on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, at Elizabeth Baptist Church with Pastor Randall Gainey and Pastor Mack Mullis officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 3:00 to 4:00 PM prior to the service at the church.
The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the hospice nurses Holly, Rebecca, Matthew, and the entire staff of Gentiva Hospice of Chesterfield for their compassionate care and support.
