Linda Sue Stanley McCurry

Mrs. Linda Sue Stanley McCurry, age 71, entered into rest on Tuesday, August 4, 2020 at her home. Graveside services will be 10:00 AM Friday, August 7, 2020 at Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery by Rev. Troy Watkins. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM Thursday, August 6, 2020 at Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home.

Mrs. McCurry was born June 29, 1949 in Wise, VA a daughter of the late Karl Everett and Lottie Lou Cox Stanley. She was a former supervisor with Weyerhaeuser Industries and a former school teacher at Blessed Hope Christian School. A faithful member of Oak Grove Baptist Church, Linda was a devoted pastor’s wife and church secretary. Mrs. McCurry enjoyed animals, woodworking and painting crafts, and singing gospel music. She was a former member of the Gospel Crusader’s gospel group.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. McCurry was also preceded in death by her daughter, Trina Totheorow; brothers, Larry Stanley and Tim Stanley; sister, Wanda Mullins; and granddaughter, Miranda Sturgill.

Survivors include her husband of 22 years, Rev. Danny Lee McCurry of the home; children, Brenda Costinett, Molly Morrison, Jennifer Summers, Martin Bolling, Karl (Heather) Bolling, Melinda Haigler, and Destiny (Bill) Johnson; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; brothers, Ed (Linda) Stanley, Danny Stanley, Kenneth Stanley; sisters, Tammy Johnson and Vickie Walker; and numerous nieces and nephews.
