Linda Joyce McCune Caulder

Cheraw, SC

Mrs. Linda Joyce McCune Caulder, age 77, entered into rest on Sunday, November 8, 2020. Funeral services will be 3:00 PM Thursday, November 12, 2020 from the Chapel of Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home by Pastor Danny Malloy with burial to follow in the Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 2:00 – 3:00 PM Thursday prior to the service at the funeral home.

Mrs. Caulder was born February 12, 1943 in Mooresville, NC a daughter of the late James Buck and Beatrice McColl McCune. She was a former employee of J.P. Stevens, the Cheraw Yarn Mill, and retired from the restaurant business. Linda was a member of Forest Pine Church and enjoyed playing the piano. She was blessed with the gift to be able to play by ear. She enjoyed any trip shopping, working in her garden, and cooking and baking. Mrs. Caulder loved spending time with her family, and looked forward to their trips to the beach and mountains together.

In addition to her parents, Linda was also preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Charles “Ronnie” Caulder; sister, Miriam Ford; son, Michael Wayne Mears; and grandsons, Joshua Ryan Davis, and Robert Brian Faile.

Survivors include her children, Daphane Mears (Mike) Smith of Laurinburg, NC, Tirzah Richardson of Florence, SC, Ganem Cartwright of Cheraw, SC, and Michelle Davis of Cheraw, SC; grandchildren, Kevin Faile, Alicia Cartwright, Emily Cartwright, KC Cartwright, Amanda (Steven) Davis, Melissa Smith, Melinda Driggers, Andrew Smith, Michael Mears, Jr., and Kenny Mears; numerous great grandchildren including Juliana Davis; brothers, Jack (Bonnie) McCune of Bennettsville, SC, and Ray (Mar) McCune of Atlanta, GA; numerous nieces and nephews; and her beloved dog, “Foxy.”
