Linda Hambelton Howell

          Mrs. Linda Hambelton Howell, age 69, entered into rest on Friday, February 17, 2023. A get together to celebrate Linda’s life will be held on Saturday, March 4, 2023 between the hours of 2:30 PM – 4:00 PM at Beauford Baptist Church officiated by Pastor Tim Williams.

          Mrs. Howell was born July 20, 1953 in Fayetteville, NC a daughter of the late Billy and Aleisha Core Hambelton. She was a homemaker and a faithful member of Beaufort Baptist Church. Linda enjoyed working with crafts, anything from crocheting to needlepoint stitching. She also enjoyed playing games and watching movies with her granddaughter. An avid reader, Linda enjoyed reading God’s word daily. Her other favorite hobby was a weekly stop at Wal-Mart.

          In addition to her parents, Mrs. Howell was also preceded in death by her brother, Jimmie Hall; sister, Donna Lewis; brothers-in-law, Mark T. Lewis, and David Hull; and nephew, Matthew Lewis.

          Survivors include her husband of nearly 50 years, Larry Randall Howell of the home; children, Kimberly (Michael) Herring of Fayetteville, NC, and Kris (Michelle) Howell of New Hill, NC; grandchildren, Kally Herring, Jordan Howell, Skylar Howell; brother, Dennis (Jo) Hambelton of FL; sisters, Delores (Bryan) Smith of Cedar Creek, NC, and Sonia Hull of Lillington, NC; numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and countless friends.

          In lieu of flowers or monetary donations, the family requests that everyone continue sharing in her burden of praying for each other for healing in our communities and churches.
