HISTORY: Mr. Raffaldt was born March 4, 1922 in Ruby, SC a son of the late U.J. and Sadie James Raffaldt. He was a farmer and pine tree planter. Lawson enjoyed riding his tractor and growing watermelons, cantaloupes, and other produce. He also enjoyed playing his guitar and singing. Lawson was a faithful longtime member of Fairview Baptist Church where he served as Choir Director for 34 years and was a member of the Cemetery Committee, and was also a member of the WOW Lodge 516. Lawson always had a big smile and was a friend to all. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his first wife Beatrice Hancock Raffaldt.

3 Grandchildren: Stephanie Deese, Shannon Love, and Samantha Catoe

2 Sisters: Ruby Sheriff of Westminster, SC and Sadie Catoe of Lancaster, SC
