Cheraw, SC Mr. Kenny Dean Sellers, age 80, went home to be with the Lord on Friday morning, May 15, 2026 at McLeod Health - Cheraw. Funeral services will be 3:00 PM Sunday, May 17, 2026 at Brocks Mill Baptist Church officiated by Pastor Jamie Gulledge and Reverend Randy White with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will greet friends from 2:00 – 3:00 PM Sunday, prior to the service at the church.


Born on October 26, 1945, in Chesterfield, South Carolina, Mr. Sellers was the son of the late Weldon D. and Irene R. Sellers. He received his education in Chesterfield County schools and honorably served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.


Kenny Dean was a retired employee of Stanley Black & Decker with over 36 years of service and a former employee of Delta Mills. A faithful member of Brocks Mill Baptist Church, Kenny Dean served as Deacon, choir member, Sunday school teacher, and cemetery committee coordinator. He was also an active member of the BWZ men’s brotherhood. He enjoyed playing the guitar, watching westerns, and working on tractors and lawnmowers. Above all, he treasured his role as “Pa” to his grandchildren.


In addition to his parents, Mr. Sellers was also preceded in death by his son, Ronald W. Sellers; sisters, Glennie Hancock, Peggy Hunt, Marolyn Haun and husband, Harry; brothers, Richard Sellers and wife, Shirley, and Harmon Sellers; brothers-in-law, Nelson Taylor, Joe Taylor, and Ricky Taylor.


Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Virginia T. Sellers of the home; son, Jeff Sellers of Cheraw, SC; daughter-in-law, Karen Sellers of Cheraw, SC; grandchildren, Jonathan Sellers, David Sellers, and Hunter (Christina) Sellers of Indian Land, SC; brother, Weldon (Carolyn) Sellers of Cheraw, SC; sister, Sandra (Grady) Tucker of Cheraw, SC; brothers-in-law, Manley Hancock of Ruby, SC, Dewey Hunt of Lexington, SC, Harold (Regina) Taylor of Cowpens, SC; sisters-in-law, Margaret (Rev. Randy) White of Fayetteville, NC, Patsy (Gerald) Medford of Chesnee, SC, Sherry Taylor of Gaffney, SC, and Melissa Taylor of Chesnee, SC; in addition to many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
