Kenneth "Ken" Roy Miller

Cheraw, SC

Mr. Kenneth “Ken” Roy Miller, age 77, entered into rest on Saturday, October 2, 2021. A Memorial service will be held 6:00 O’clock PM Thursday, October 7, 2021 from the chapel of Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home by Pastor Jeffrey Hart, Pastor Scott Adams, and a Eulogy by William Pegues. A visitation will be held from 5:00-6:00 PM prior to the service at the funeral home.

Mr. Miller was born October 9, 1943 in Orrick, Missouri a son of the late Everett and Martha Campbell Miller. Ken was a United State Air Force veteran and retired from Ford Motor Company with 35 years of service. He will be remembered as a kind hearted, sweet, and straight forward man who always let you know where he stood. Ken was an avid Kansas City Chiefs fan and enjoyed traveling to his son’s home in Jacksonville, FL, to attend the Chiefs/Jaguars football games. Respectfully, Ken would not wear his beloved Chiefs colors since the family split favorite teams. He had a great love for his pets, coaching little league baseball and helping develop the underdog players, as well as hosting numerous foreign exchange students in his home. Ken was a family man that adored his wife and family and even built his family’s home himself. Building and remodeling homes was a passion for Ken. He was always the first to help a stranger in need.  Ken was a man of great faith, who loved the Lord with all his heart.  When people asked how he was doing, he'd say "The good Lord let me put my feet on the floor this morning, so I'm blessed."  He was quick to share the gospel with anyone who expressed an interest in hearing more.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Miller was also preceded in death by his son, John Everett Miller; nephew and son of the heart, Michael Lee Hartwick Jr.; and 3 sisters.

Survivors include his loving wife of 57 years, Cheryl Miller of the home; sons, Kenneth Roye (Jill) Miller of Lexington, KY, and Quentin Miller of Jacksonville, FL; nephew and son of the heart, Robert (Melissa) Hartwick of Excelsior Springs, Missouri; in addition to numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to Knights of Heroes Foundation, 13395 Voyager Parkway Suite 130, PMB 106, Voyager Pkwy, Colorado Springs, CO 80921.
