Katherine McLain Rogers

Chesterfield, SC

          Mrs. Katherine McLain Rogers, age 69, entered into rest on Friday, April 14, 2023 at her home. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, April 19, 2023 at the Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor Randy Bishop, Brent Taylor, and son, Paul Rogers with burial to follow in the St. John Freewill Baptist Church cemetery. The family will greet friends from 1:00 to 2:00 PM Wednesday at the funeral home prior to the service.

Mrs. Rogers was born July 26, 1953 in Wadesboro, NC a daughter of the late Barney Gilbert and Ruth Wright McLain. Katherine was a graduate of Chesterfield High School, class of 1972 and a graduate of Coker College. Mrs. Rogers would go on to retire from the Chesterfield D.S.S. and SC Department of Health and Human Services. She was a life-long member of Chesterfield Baptist Church. Katherine enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially her great grandchild, Landon Snodgrass.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Rogers was also preceded in death by her husband, Edgar Bruce Rogers; and brother, Tommy McLain.

Survivors include her son, Paul Rogers of Monroe, NC; grandchild, Madison (Corey) Snodgrass of Monroe, NC; great-grandson, Landon Snodgrass of Monroe, NC; and nephew, Richie McLain of Baton Rouge, LA.  

Memorials may be made in memory of Katherine to Chesterfield Baptist Church, 207 E. Main St., Chesterfield, SC 29709; or to Gentiva Hospice of Chesterfield, 205 E. Main St. Chesterfield, SC 29709.
