Juliet "June" Grice Pearre, age 72, passed away peacefully on the evening of July 23, 2026, at McLeod Regional Medical Center in Florence, surrounded by her beloved family. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, July 26, 2026, in the chapel of Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home by Pastor Alisha Hansen, Pastor Joe Grice, and Brent Taylor. The family will greet friends from 2:00 - 3:00 PM Sunday, prior to the service at the funeral home.
Born on February 27, 1954, in Dillon, SC, June was the daughter of the late Reverend R.P. Grice and Julia M. Grice. She graduated from Cheraw High School and enjoyed a fulfilling career as a flight attendant with American Airlines. Known for her vibrant personality, June made many friends through her love of tennis and, more recently, pickleball. She also cherished her time with her adored pet, "Abby."
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Pearre was preceded in death by her sister, Angela “Angi” Carlson; brother, Richard Lee Grice; sister-in-law, Tammi White Grice; niece, Ashley Jackson; nephews, Christopher Hobbs, and Patrick Grice.
Survivors include her husband, George Pearre of the home; daughter, Lynn (Russ) Shepherd of Patrick, SC; step-children, George W. (Kelly) Pearre of Carolina Beach, NC, and Ana Marie Pearre of Charlotte, NC; grandchildren, Logan Shepherd of Chesterfield, SC, Parker Pearre, and Lali Pearre both of Poolesville, MD; siblings, Lafon (Cheryl) Grice of Gibson, NC, Charlotte (Keith) Jackson of Chesterfield, SC, and Pastor Joe (Denise) Grice of Dillon, SC; daughter of the heart, Veronica Abbit; numerous grandchildren of the heart including, Reilly, Quinn, and Lincoln Abbit; and a host of nieces and nephews.
