Joseph 'Joe' was born October 12,1948 in Oneida, New York and passed away in Florence, South Carolina on July 20, 2022 after a long illness.

He graduated from Rome Academy in 1966 and in 1968 was drafted into US Army and sent to fight for our country in the Vietnam war where he received a purple heart, a bronze star medal and the air medal for bravery. After receiving his Honorable Discharge in 1970, he returned to East Syracuse, NY and later moved to SC.

Preceding Joe in death are his parents Floyd O. Edick and Vincettia Perry Edick and a sister Patricia Ann Edick Smyth.

Surviving Joe is his loving wife Teresa of SC; his two sons Joseph Edick (Kim) of Phoenix, NY and Noah Edick (Summer) of Liverpool, NY and his daughters, Dana E. Smith (Robbie) of Florence, SC, Les Stroud Hinson (Jason); nine grandchildren; his two brothers Floyd L. Edick (Jenelle) of Chesterfield, SC and Ronald P. Edick (Mildred) of Sherrill, NY, his aunt Rosie Rossi and uncle Andy Rossi from Rome, NY, and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

He loved his family very much and will be missed by all.

A graveside memorial service directed by Cain Calcutt Funeral Home will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, August 2, 2022 in the Florence National Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 1:45 PM at the funeral home prior to the service.
