FUNERAL SERVICE: 3:00 PM Sunday, July 19, 2009 at Pine Grove Baptist Church, Chesterfield, SC

INTERMENT: private burial to follow in the Magnolia Cemetery, Hartsville, SC

VISITATION: 2:00 - 3:00 PM Sunday, prior to the service at the church

HISTORY: Mrs. Wells was born March 9, 1918 in Greenville, SC a daughter of the late James Edwin and Leila Ballenger Brunson. She was a retired SC Public School Teacher with 30 years of service. During that time, Mrs. Wells was the recipient of the "Star Teacher Award" by Darlington County Public Schools. Mrs. Jo was preceded in death by her loving husband of 61 years, Rev. David J. Wells, Sr.

1 Son: Dr. David J. Wells, Jr. and wife Carolyn of San Antonio, TX
2 Daughters: Bee Manship and husband Calvin of Stanley, NC, and Martha Usher and husband Troy of Manning, SC
1 Brother: Dr. Joel G. Brunson
1 Sister: Dorothy Brunson Greene of California
Also: 6 Grandchildren and 2 Great Grandchildren
