Johnny Ray Roscoe

          Mr. Johnny Ray Roscoe, age 68, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 16, 2023 at his home surrounded by his family. A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be 5:00 PM Sunday, November 19, 2023 from the Chapel of Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home by Reverend Joey Oliver and Reverend Matt Neisler. The family will greet friends from 4:00 – 5:00 PM Sunday, prior to the service at the funeral home.

          Mr. Roscoe was born December 11, 1954 in Chesterfield County, SC a son of Loretta Polson Roscoe and the late James Oscar Roscoe. He was a retired employee of Chesterfield Yarn Mill and grew up attending Pine View Baptist Church. Johnny Ray enjoyed gardening and was known for his green thumb with plants. He also enjoyed visiting the flea-markets, yard sales, and auctions always looking for a deal. A man who never met a stranger, Johnny Ray had a wonderful sense of humor and enjoyed sharing his story about his angel collection.

          In addition to his father, Mr. Roscoe was also preceded in death by his siblings, Nancy Irene Johnson, Lloyd Eugene Roscoe, and Ronnie Lee Roscoe.

          Survivors include his wife of 25 years, Sheila Rollings of the home; children, Andrew, Eric, Jonathan, Daniel, Wendy, Leeann, and Tiffany; 7 grandchildren; mother, Loretta P. Roscoe of Chesterfield, SC; siblings, Dorothy (James) Rivers of Hartsville, SC, James (Wanda) Roscoe of Ruby, SC, Roger Roscoe of Chesterfield, SC; twin sister, Carolyn Roscoe of Florence, SC, Rachel Brock of Cheraw, SC, Sarah (Terry) Johnson of Chesterfield, SC, Hazel (Jeffrey) Bell of Hartsville, SC, Walter Roscoe of Ruby, SC, Sandra (Scott) Edwards of Wallace, SC, and Donald Roscoe of Ruby, SC; in addition to numerous nieces and nephews.

          Memorials may be made to MRC Funeral Home, 318 E. Main Street, Chesterfield, SC 29709 to assist the family.
