HISTORY: Mr. Melton was born April 11, 1935 in Chesterfield County, SC a son of the late Richard and Pinky Robertson Melton. He was a retired employee of Springs Industries with 35 years of service. Mr. Melton was a member of Bethel Baptist Church, where he served as a former deacon. Johnny enjoyed boating and was an avid fisherman. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Floyd, Bobby Carol, and Maxie Melton, and by 2 sisters, Azilee Taylor and Rosa Eubanks.

5 Great Grandchildren: Tyler, Logan, Baylor, Caden, and Bella
3 Sisters: Gertrude Belk of Kannapolis, NC, Ruth Boone of Lancaster, SC, and Lucille Rollins of Jefferson, SC
