HISTORY: Mr. Hammond was born in Nichols, SC a son the late Hoyt Mallard and Erlene Taylor Hammond. He was a retired TSGT with the U.S. Air Force with 20 years of service, and was a former Charlotte Observer carrier with 13 years of service.
