HISTORY: Mr. Gaskins was born December 13, 1915, in Chesterfield, SC., a son of the late William H. "Bill" and Mittie Sellers Gaskins. He was a retired carpenter and a member of Oakland Baptist Church. Mr. Gaskins was preceded in death by a son, William Ervin "Buster" Gaskins.

SURVIVORS: Wife of 60 years: Lois Turner Gaskins of the home

1 Son: Thomas (Barbara) Gaskins of Pleasant Garden, NC

3 Daughters: Patricia "Sue" (Steve) Young of Pleasant Garden, NC, Faith Webb of Chesterfield, SC, and Dianne (Ronnie) Sellers of Darlington, SC

Daughter-in-law: Susan R. Gaskins of Wallace, SC

1 Sister: Betty Woodward of Ruby, SC
