John "David" Driggers

Chesterfield, SC

          Mr. John David Driggers, age 50, entered into rest on Saturday, September 10, 2022. A Celebration of Life Service will be 11:00 AM Wednesday, September 14, 2022 from the Chapel of Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home by Brent Taylor. The family will greet friends immediately following the service at the funeral home.

          Mr. Driggers was born September 28, 1971 in Chesterfield, SC a son of Kenneth “Butch” Driggers and Sharon Hunt Davis. He was a 1990 graduate of Cheraw High School and a self-employed contractor. An avid outdoorsman, David enjoyed hunting, fishing, and cooking. He also had a special place in his heart for animals, particularly his feline companion, “Berg.”

          Mr. Driggers was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Wesley & Virginia Starling; maternal grandparents, Bruce & Vera Hunt; maternal aunt, Staci Hunt; paternal aunt, Cindy Cox; and cousin, Timmy Gaskins.

Survivors include his children, Christen Marie Driggers of Lexington, SC, and Patrick Blake Driggers of Chesterfield, SC; mother, Sharon H. (Johnny A.) Davis of Chesterfield, SC; father, Kenneth “Butch” (Brenda) Driggers of Florence, SC; sister, Caroline (Clint) Adams of Chesterfield, SC and their children, Jasper & Everly who loving referred to him as “Uncle D;” uncles Kenneth Bruce Hunt of White Lake, NC, Buddy Driggers of Oak Island, NC; and his aunt, Mary Gaskins of Cheraw, SC.

          In honor of David’s love for animals, memorials may be made to the Humane Society of one’s choice.
