FUNERAL SERVICE: 3:00 P.M. Tuesday, April 6, 2010 at Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home Chapel

INTERMENT: will follow in the Sandy Plains United Methodist Church Cemetery, with Masonic Rites

VISITATION: 6:00 - 8:00 P.M. Monday, April 5, 2010 at the Funeral Home

HISTORY: Mr. Skipper was born December 21, 1940, in Chesterfield County, a son of the late Walter Leroy and Sally Turnage Skipper. He was a retired employee with the South Carolina DOT, and a U.S. Army Veteran. Mr. Skipper was a faithful member of Sandy Plains United Methodist Church and an honorary member of the Chesterfield Rescue Squad with 26 years of service. Joel was a member and past master of the Chesterfield Masonic Lodge # 220 and the Omar Shrine Temple. In addition to his parents, Joel was preceded in death by a son, David Skipper.

Wife of 44 years: Louise Adams "Sis" Skipper of the home.
1 Son: Randy (Rhonda) Skipper of Chesterfield, SC
2 Grandchildren: Mikayla Steen and Curtis Skipper of Chesterfield, SC
1 Brother: Charles (Sylvia) Skipper of McFarlan, NC
1 Sister: Minnie Ruth (Bryan) Ratley of McColl, SC
