INTERMENT: will follow in the Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery

VISITATION: 6:00 — 8:00 PM, Tuesday, January 12, 2010 at Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home

HISTORY: Mr. Hayes was born March 7, 1941 in Jefferson, SC a son of the late Albert and Sadie Mae Airrington Hayes. He was a retired heavy equipment operator with Chesterfield County and owned and operated a produce stand. Joe was an avid gardener. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, Joe was preceded in death by his first wife, Dale Hayes; a stepson, Charles Clark; three brothers, Arthur Lee, Jimmy, and Bobby Hayes; and by a sister, Jeanette Hayes.

2 Brothers: Billy John Hayes of Jefferson, SC and Burle C. Hayes of Lenoir, NC
3 Sisters: Ann Robertson of Pageland, SC, Ola Mae Rivers of Monroe, NC, and Elizabeth Knight of Jefferson, SC
Also 10 Grandchildren and 6 Great Grandchildren
