FUNERAL SERVICE: 3:00 P.M. Friday, February 5, 2010 at Friendship United Methodist Church
INTERMENT: will follow in Shiloh United Methodist Church Cemetery
VISITATION: 6:00 — 8:00 PM, Thursday, February 4, 2010 at Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home
HISTORY: Mrs. Rivers was born February 19, 1934, in Monroe, NC, a daughter of the late George Lee and Audrey Knight Eudy. She was a graduate of Pageland High School. Joann was a homemaker and a faithful Pastor’s wife serving church families with her husband. She was a member of Friendship United Methodist Church. Joann enjoyed crocheting blankets for nursing home, hospice, and home health patients. She also loved growing flowers and doing find a word puzzles. In addition to her parents, Joann was preceded in death by a grandson, Elisha Bryant and by her twin sister, Joyce Allen.
SURVIVORS: Husband of 53 years: Reverend Lindsey E. Rivers, Sr. of the home
3 Sons: Gene (Sarah) Rivers of Mt. Croghan, SC, Tim (Teresa) Rivers of Cheraw, SC, and Tony (Nikki) Rivers of Dalzell, SC
3 Daughters: Jenny (Kenneth) Eudy of Norwood, NC, Amy (Rusty) Bryant and Judy (Jamie) Gulledge both of Chesterfield, SC
1 Sister: Hazel Rhode of Chesterfield, SC
11 Grandchildren: Daniel (Holly) Rivers, Bryant Rivers, Samuel Eudy, Whitney Eudy, Jeremy (Stephanie) Bryant, Jordan Bryant, Bethany (Chad) Lee, Hannah Gulledge, Kayla Ratliff, Kelsie Ratliff, and Katie Jo Rivers
