INTERMENT: will follow in the Bay Springs Baptist Church Cemetery, Chesterfield, SC
VISITATION: 6:00 - 8:00 P.M. Wednesday, November 28, 2007, at the Funeral Home.

HISTORY: Mr. Grooms was born August 16, 1940 in Chesterfield, SC, a son of the late Walter "Walt" and Ola Lee Johnson Grooms. He was a graduate of Chesterfield-Marlboro TEC and was a retired auto salesman. Mr. Grooms was a U.S. Army veteran. Jimmy was preceded in death by a daughter, Erline Grooms, a stepson, Mike Purvis, a sister, Pauline Grooms, and by 2 brothers, Ray Grooms and Rev. William Ellis Grooms.
