Mr. Jerry Wayne Sellers, age 69, passed away on Wednesday, November 20, 2024. A graveside service will be held at the Sellers Family Cemetery, located at 55 Will Horne Lane, Chesterfield, on Tuesday, November 26, 2024, at 3:00. The service will be officiated by The Honorable Rep. Pastor Richie Yow and Reverend Quincy Fair, both long-time friends of Jerry. The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 Monday, November 25, 2024 at Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home.

 

Mr. Sellers was born on May 28, 1955, in Ruby, SC, the son of the late Charlie Bruce and Nevadell Horne Sellers. He began his career in carpentry at a young age and was skilled as a brick mason. Jerry was notably the owner and stock contractor for Diamond S Rodeo and previously co-owned and operated the S&R Rodeo Association. A dedicated farmer, he took great pleasure in raising rodeo stock and longhorn cattle, often found driving tractors or baling hay on his farm. In his younger days, Jerry enjoyed barrel racing and competing with his racing mules during Mule Days in Benson, NC.

 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings: Dwight Sellers, Larry Sellers, Darrell "Choppy" Sellers, Kenny Sellers, Janice Garris, and Terry Lynn "Wolfie" Sellers.

 

Mr. Sellers is survived by his children, Shannon (Michael) Mason of Cheraw, SC; Charlie Shane "Duck" (Amy) Sellers; Ernest Wayne Sellers; Perry Clayton "Bubba" (Sherry) Sellers; Jesse Holden Sellers; and Betsy Kate (Ben) Parks, all of Chesterfield, SC. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Destiny (Tyler) Brown, Mackenzie (Vivica) Mason, Charlee Mae Sellers, Levi (Megan) White, Lexi White, Summer (Jeremiah) Bryant, Morgan Williams, Sierra Sellers, Ryder Sellers, Gracie Sellers, Melany Gaymon, Blake Jackson, Jake Sellers, Luke Sellers, Layni Sellers, Stetson Parks, and Sterling Parks, along with nine great-grandchildren. Additionally, he is remembered by close friend Angela Sellers and special ladies in his life: Debbie Holloway, Susan Sellers, and Tenita Sellers, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
