Mr. Jeffrey Mark "Jeff" Burgess, age 49, entered into rest on Wednesday, June 17, 2026 at his home. The family will host a private service at a later date.

Mr. Burgess was born on November 17, 1976 in Chesterfield, SC the son of Billy Jack Burgess and Christine Hargett. Jeff loved spending time outdoors, whether he was tending to his yard or working in his garden. He had a true passion for carpentry and took great pride in building homes. Above all, he cherished the time he spent with his grandchildren, who brought him immense joy. Jeff was a kind and generous man who was always willing to help others in any way he could. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Mr. Burgess is preceded in death by his uncle, Roger Burgess.

He is survived by his children, Melanie (Xavier Rivers) Mills of Jefferson, SC, Megan Burgess of Jefferson, SC, Marissa (B.J. Joines) Burgess of Jefferson, SC and their mother, Carla Mills of Patrick, SC; grandchildren, Nyla Rivers, Kymarion Moore, Caysyn Joines, Reign Bennett, Joszelynne Joines; mother, Christine (Joe Wallace) Hargett of Jefferson, SC, Billy Jack Burgess of Pageland, SC; brother, Michael (Tonya) Burgess of Pageland, SC; son of the heart, Donite Bennett of Chesterfield, SC; and aunt, Bessie Hargett of Jefferson, SC.
