Jared Seth Smith

Jared Seth Smith, 41, of Concord, passed away peacefully at home in the early morning hours of September 19, 2025.

Born on September 18, 1984, in Concord, North Carolina, Jared was the beloved son of Kenneth Lee Smith and the late Cynthia Webster Smith. A proud graduate of Northwest Cabarrus High School, Class of 2003, he later pursued studies in Electrical Engineering at Rowan Cabarrus Community College.

Throughout his life, Jared was a dedicated and a hardworking man. He worked alongside his father and brother as a brick mason, continued his career in construction, and formerly served as a crew chief at Galvan Industries in Harrisburg, NC. In every role, he was respected for his strong work ethic, reliability, and commitment.

Above all else, Jared’s greatest love was his family. Jared’s children were his greatest joy and his heart’s true devotion. His warmth, generosity, and easy laughter were a constant reflection of the deep love he carried in his heart. He cherished time spent with his children and took pride in being a devoted father.

Jared is survived by his father, Kenneth L. Smith of Concord; his brother, Joshua L. Smith of Concord; his sister, Christen McCurrach of High Point; his sons, Jayden Smith of Salisbury, Gabriel Smith of China Grove, and Elijah Smith of China Grove; along with a large extended family of aunts, uncles, and cousins. To those who knew him, Jared’s presence was truly a gift, and his memory will continue to shine brightly in the lives he touched.

His family will honor his life privately, holding in their hearts deep gratitude for the love he shared and the legacy he leaves behind.
