Mrs. Janie Ann Isgett Huestess, age 76, of Hartsville, South Carolina, passed away peacefully at her home on the morning of May 6, 2026, surrounded by her family. Funeral services will be 3:00 PM Saturday, May 9, 2026 at Cedar Creek Baptist Church with Pastor Jeff Williams officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will greet friends from 2:00 – 3:00 PM Saturday, prior to the service at the church.
Born June 3, 1949, in Hartsville, she was the daughter of the late James Lawson and Lucille Barefoot Isgett. Mrs. Huestess attended McBee High School and was a lifelong member of Cedar Creek Baptist Church.
She was employed by Valu Pak of Cheraw before dedicating herself to caring for her family members, exemplifying her role as a devoted caregiver to her father, mother, mother-in-law, and other family members. An avid Clemson Tigers fan, she also enjoyed fishing, gardening, and spending time with her grandchildren, who affectionately knew her as “Nana.”
Mrs. Huestess was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Donald Joe Huestess; brother-in-law, Robert Clark; sister-in-law, Fern Hinson; father-in-law & mother-in-law, Frank and Geneva Huestess; and her granddaughter Abby Danielle Wallace.
She is survived by her daughter, Kem (Phillip) Williams; son, Kenny (Chrissy) Huestess all of Hartsville, SC; grandchildren, Anna Wallace of Hartsville, SC, Amy (Hunter) Allison, Tripp Wallace, and Chance Wallace all of Cheraw, SC, Mitchell (Chelsea) Huestess, and Noel Huestess both of Hartsville, SC; great grandchildren, Harper and June Allison of Cheraw, SC, and Levi and Dallas Huestess of Hartsville, SC; siblings: Harvey Isgett of Hartsville, SC; James Isgett and wife Sara of Patrick, SC, John Isgett and wife Cindy, Richard Isgett and wife Julie, Paul Isgett and wife Valerie, David Isgett and wife Dana, Joe Isgett and wife Angel, Shirley Clark, all of Hartsville, SC; Sylvia “Sib” O’Neal and husband Harold of Patrick; and Margie Atkinson and husband Curtis of Mathiston, Mississippi; in addition to numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to Cedar Creek Baptist Church, “Backpack Ministry,” or “The Food Bank Ministry,” 1635 Cedar Creek Road, Hartsville, SC 29550.
