Mr. Jamie L. Horton, age 90, entered into rest on Saturday, November 16, 2019 with his family by his side. Funeral services will be 3:00 PM Tuesday, November 19, 2019 at Macedonia Baptist Church by Pastor David Sanders and Rev. Scott Bernshausen with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will greet friends from 1:30 – 2:45 Tuesday prior to the service in the sanctuary of the church.

Mr. Horton was born October 29, 1929 in Jefferson, SC a son of the late Robert C. and Ella McPherson Horton. He was a retired employee of DuPont with over 33 years of service, and a life-long farmer. Mr. Horton was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church where he served as former deacon. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed gardening.

In addition to his parents, Jamie was also preceded in death by his beloved wife, Ruby Jordan Horton; siblings, Richard (Dorothy) Horton, Hazel (Laverne) Horton, Emmett (Verdia) Horton, Sadie (Nick) Delvecchio, Ernestine (Wylie) Jowers, Bobby Horton, Chester Horton, Nola Margaret Horton; daughter-in-law, Angela Byrd Horton, and brother-in-law, Cecil Bradley.

Survivors include his son, Robert (Delphania) Horton of McBee, SC; daughters, Deborah (Wayne) Morris of Cassatt, SC, Wanda Deese of Rock Hill, SC, and Marilyn (Steve) Clark of Jefferson, SC; grandchildren, Daniel (Katie) Morris, Lisa (Hunter) Frye, Jamie (Adam) Duston, Brittany Clark, Amanda (Skyler) Bursch, Brooke Clark, and Jacob Horton; 7 great grandchildren; sisters, Martha Bradley of Bethune, SC, and Bemice Sue (Kay) Holley of Jefferson, SC; and numerous nieces and nephews.
