HISTORY: Mr. Cato was born July 23, 1934 in Pageland, SC a son of the late Clarence Floyd and Nezzie Hicks Cato. He was a 1952 graduate of Pageland High School and received an associate's degree from Central Piedmont Community College in Charlotte, NC. Mr. Cato was a retired route and terminal manager with Merita Bread Company, and was a former employee of C.M. Tucker Lumber Company. He was a U.S. Army Veteran. Mr. Cato was a true outdoorsman, who enjoyed playing golf. In addition to his parents, Sonny was also preceded in death by his wife, Bianca Jolly "Binnie" Cato; 2 sons, Bo and Timothy Cato; 2 sisters, Thayer Richardson and Carolyn Mills; and 1 brother-in-law, Arnold Threatt.

1 Step Daughter: Angela Susan Starnes of Charlotte, NC
7 Grandchildren: Corey, Bailey, Joshua, Jonathan, Jacob, Brandon, and Ashley Cato
Daughter-in-law: Amy Cato of Pageland, SC
2 Brothers: Rev. Julian (Jean) Cato of Chesterfield, SC, and John "Bud" (Sally) Cato of Pageland, SC
3 Sisters: Barbara Threatt of Augusta, GA, Linda (George) Crowe of Lugoff, SC, and Eunice (Donald) Smith of Pageland, SC
