FUNERAL SERVICE: 11:00 AM, Wednesday, October 3, 2012 at Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home Chapel

INTERMENT: will follow in the Chesterfield Cemetery with Military Honors

HISTORY: Mr. Rivers was born July 11, 1926 in Chesterfield, SC a son of the late Legette and Maude Hunt Rivers. He was a 1943 graduate of Chesterfield High School, where he was named "Mr. Senior" King of his class. Hugh received an electronic degree from Massey Technical Institute and was a former Chesterfield Police Officer, T.V. repair shop owner, and was a retired textile Supervisor. Mr. Rivers was a U.S. Navy Veteran of WWII and a recipient of the Bronze Star. He was a member of the Chesterfield Baptist Church and a Mason. Hugh loved music. In addition to his parents, Hugh was also preceded in death by his wife, Bonnie Owen Rivers.

Granddaughter: Meredith Jordan Buck of Cheraw, SC
2 Great Granddaughters: Haigan Jordan and McKenna Buck
1 Brother: Dr. Billy G. (Joyce) Rivers of Asheville, NC
One Niece and Three Nephews
