HISTORY: Mrs. Pegues was born July 30, 1928 in Cheraw, SC the daughter of the late James Crawford and Idell Turner Haney. She was a homemaker and faithful charter member of Midway Baptist Church. Helen was married to the late John Thomas Pegues, and was also preceded in death by her sister, Frances Haney McIntyre; and one brother, Rembert Crawford Haney.

2 Sons: James Thomas (Ann) Pegues of Lancaster, SC and Mitchell Lee (Kathy) Pegues of Cheraw, SC
1 Daughter: Betty Jean Pegues (Randy) Roscoe of Chesterfield, SC
2 Brothers: Cecil Hewitt (Nancy) Haney of McBee, SC, and James Carl Haney of Chesterfield, SC
Also: 7 Grandchildren and 8 Great Grandchildren
