HISTORY Mrs. Newsom was born in Rockingham, NC a daughter of the late Rueben Augustus and Elizabeth Smith Kendall. She was a homemaker and a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Helen was preceded in death by her daughter Cornelia Treadaway.

2 Sons: Johnny L. Rivers, III and wife Francine of Cheraw, SC and William Michael Rivers and wife Peggy of Chesterfield, SC

1 Brother: Edward A. Kendall of Black Mountain, NC
