Hayward E. Tyner

Mr. Hayward E. Tyner, age 66, entered into rest on Monday, August 9, 2021 at his home. A Celebration of Life Service will be 5:00 PM Thursday, August 12, 2021 from the Chapel of Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home by Pastor Jeff Williams and Mrs. Karen Dixon. The family will greet friends from 4:00 PM – 5:00 PM Thursday prior to the service at the funeral home.

Mr. Tyner was born March 6, 1955 in Darlington County, SC a son of the late Benjamin E. and Annie Lee Petty Tyner. He was a mechanic and a “Jack of all Trades.” A man who never met a stranger, Hayward enjoyed cutting grass and was always willing to take care of his neighbors’ yards as well. He enjoyed attending Cedar Creek Baptist Church and loved his Pastor Jeff Williams and his family.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Tyner was also preceded in death by his beloved wife, Debra “Debbie” Weatherford on July 22, 2021; brother, Ernest W. Tyner; and sister, Patricia Ann Tyner Gainey.

Survivors include his son, Wayne (Amanda) Tyner of Clay County, AL; daughters, Crystal (James) Tyner of Cheraw, SC, Francis (Derrek) Teal of Patrick, SC, and Karen Dixon of Hartsville, SC; grandchildren, Deanna Teal, Austin Tyner, Dustin Tyner, Trinity Teal, Travis Tyner, Carly Teal, Kaleb Tyner, Aiden Knight, Olivia Rice, Riley Dixon, and Kayden Hayward Wayne Tyner; greatgrandchildren, Tyler Pierce and Reagan Priest; brothers, Alvis Tyner of Patrick, SC, Curtis (Linda) Tyner of Hartsville, SC, and Donald Lee Tyner of Patrick, SC; sister, Donna Kay Lynch of Cheraw, SC; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
